PETE DOHERTY has worked for the BBC for over 30 years as a Senior Journalist Associate Producer, Cameraman and Film Editor working across many genres including studio, outdoor broadcasts and location filming. KIERON BUTLER has extensive experience teaching film, television and media. At Southampton Solent University, he served as the Course Leader for BA (Hons) Television Production and BA (Hons) Post Production for Film and TV. As a freelancer in the film and TV industry, he collaborated with notable figures such as directors Sir Alan Parker and Hugh Hudson, and editor Terry Rawlings. He has developed educational content for Lord David Puttnam and produced video work for BAFTA, EON Productions, and Sony BMG. His roles have included self-shooting director, editor, sound designer, and animator. He has edited factual series for The Discovery Channel, pilots for Channel 4 and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and written for television series such as "Family Affairs" on Channel 5, as well as his feature-length film "Venus and Mars”.
TRISH MORRIS has over 40 years experience in the television and film industry. She started her career as a 3rd assistant wardrobe director at the Royal Opera House. Trish then moved to Thames Television as an administrative assistant and then to Humphries Film Laboratories as a 35mm neg prep assistant. She joined the BBC as a trainee assistant film editor and continued to work for them as an assistant film editor working on dramas like Colditz, Dr Who and the Onedin Line,and Documentaries like The Mighty Continent, The Valley of the Po and Arabian Fantasy. After leaving the BBC Trish freelanced as an Editor and a Director for the BBC and several independent film production companies. She joined Television South in Southampton as a senior editor and then a supervisory editor. Among the many varied programmes Trish worked on she was responsible for supervising and editing the Television South award winning series 'Countryways' and 'Taste of the South.’ When Television South lost the franchise Trish freelanced as an editor and director working for ITN, ITV, BBC, HTV, Meridian and Sky. She was then asked to join BBC South as a senior technical operator. Although her craft skill is editing, she trained with the BBC as a graphic operator, hub operator, OB floor manager, and video journalist and completed the BBC single camera directors training. Trish has also produced and directed programs for BBC Inside Out. From 2009 -2023 Trish worked at Solent University as a Senior Lecturer on their BA (Hons) Television Production and BA(Hons) Post Production for Film and Television and was Course Leader on their MA Post Production for Film and Television. She is experienced in 35mm and 15mm film editing, Lightworks, Quantel, Premiere CC, Final Cut 10 and is an Avid accredited instructor in Avid Media Composer.

KATE O'DRISCOLL had a 20 year career working in broadcast television before joining Solent University in 2014. Her extensive filmography includes the BBC’s award winning series Who Do You Think You Are? and the critically acclaimed Channel 4 series, Family Century which she series produced. In addition, Kate was a director on the BAFTA nominated series Rooted and produced Bringing Home the Bacon, which was nominated for the Rory Peck Award. Kate has a track record of access-driven filmmaking and negotiated unprecedented access to the highly secretive Istanbul Narcotics Police and filmed with the Metropolitan Police for 18 months with their sexual offences unit. As a development producer, she has devised and developed many projects over the years, including C4’s How To Get Divorced and Five’s Combat Chefs. Kate is still active in the TV industry, having recently produced and directed a number of documentaries for the BBC including A Tale of Two Theatres, a fly on the wall documentary about two historical theatres struggling to survive.
SHARON MACDONALD-ARMITAGE is a qualified experienced teacher and project coordinator based in the South of England with over 40 years experience in project coordination, project support, administration and classroom teaching across various education platforms and government agencies. From working in education as a teacher and subject lead in Media Studies, through Project Support of a Project Management Team to an Engineer Support Officer working with a team of engineering managers, she offers a high level of skills in training, education and project support and project coordination. Adaptability, organisation and communication being key skills which she uses effectively when working alone or as part of a team. Sharon has a particular interest in the Arts with a focus on Film and Theatre. Sharon has worked as a critic reviewing productions in both London and regional theatre. She is now using her abilities to move in a more dynamic and more creative focus and will be developing new strategies for Picture Perfect Training
